SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing)

Consider the following...

When a web designer builds a website, they set a website page title, which is something like 'ABC Trinkets Inc.'. While this may seem like an appropriate website title, in fact it is not.

Search engines save this website title in their own database. This is called indexing. When somebody is looking for a website, the search engine matches the search terms to the website's title. If a web searcher already knows the business name, and enters "ABC Trinkets", the search engine will show the website for ABC Trinkets Inc. because there is a direct match between what they submitted and what the search engine has saved in its databases.

What happens though if somebody (located in California, for example) doesn't know about the company ABC Trinkets, but needs to purchase some trinkets online? They will likely type into a search engine something like 'California buy trinkets online'. The search engine then shows a list of companies that sell trinkets. How does the search engine decide which website to show first on their search results, and which should be shown last?

Websites that are 'optimized', or in other words, have had Search Engine Optimization properly executed, appear before websites for which SEO has not been done. While performing effective SEO is much more complex than simply changing a website's title, this basic principal is important to understand.

While SEO is done on-site, meaning that changes are done to the website itself, SEM refers to how a website is marketed throughout the Internet. For example, ABC Trinkets has worked hard to register a business with a very descriptive name (this can be thought of as SEO). ABC Trinkets also markets their business using T.V. and radio advertisements, to introduce and promote their brand to the general population (this is similar to SEM).

Search engines also rank websites, in part, on how popular they are in comparison to their competitor's websites. Search engines display a set of results to web searchers, pre-sorted, showing the most popular websites first. Our SEM services ensure that a website becomes popular, and depending on the marketing budget, potentially very, very popular.

How aggressive the SEO an SEM must be done primarily depends on the level of competition a website faces from industry competitors. The higher the competition, the more aggressive the SEO must be, hence the different SEO packages we offer.

My SEO Company Packages

Bronze Package

Our bronze package is a required starting point for a website promotion strategy, but it is almost never enough to produce the results most website owners hope to achieve. SEO in itself will only ensure that a website is listed properly with a search engine, but doesn't fully address promoting a website to a position above its competitors.

If your business is one of only a few of competitors in your geographical location, our Bronze package may provide you with the results you require. However, our Silver package is likely your best option.

Silver Package

Our Silver package is well suited for small businesses that have a very small number of local competitors. These businesses would typically located in large towns and smaller cities. Likewise, our Gold package would likely ensure top positioning for these small businesses.

Gold Package

Our Gold package is effective for small or medium sized businesses that have hundreds of competitors, which is typically the situation in larger cities. Again, if topping the search engine results in large cities is a must, our Platinum package may be your best bet.

Platinum Package

Our Platinum package is a very aggressive approach to search engine optimization and Internet marketing. If your business is competing with many hundred or thousands of competitors, our Platinum package will get the job done. If your target market is international, this is package for you.
